IPS refreshes Premier Plant & Tool Hire’s branding, followed by a new design and fit for their trade centre
The Brief
Premier Plant & Tool Hire first approached IPS for some printed vinyl banners but were unhappy with their current logo. After realising IPS’ design capabilities, they asked us for a brand refresh. Some aspects of their existing branding, such as the royal blue element, they were fond of, but most other elements included a complex design which wasn’t legible from a distance. As the brand sponsored a local football team, legibility was of particular importance.
The Process
The IPS designers took on board what the client was after and delivered five different options for their brand refresh. The favoured logo and design were mocked up onto various assets, including vehicle livery, on-site signage and digital assets, presenting them with a range of options to think over. The client chose a final design and was so pleased with the new brand that they asked IPS to design and fit out their new trade centre. This brilliant tool allowed the Premier Plant team to not only see a detailed, accurately scaled rendering of what their new premises would look like, but also gave a real feel for how it would operate as a functional space.
The Results
IPS transformed the trade counter with full bleed image wallpaper, bespoke shelving units with branded shelf edge strips, colour matched skirting and woodwork, overhead Foamex signage and a welcoming, clearly branded counter. We also designed and produced external weatherproof signage that exceeded the client’s expectations and was, importantly, legible from afar. This signage included flags, banners, overhead and entrance Dibond and Foamex signs.
